Hinduism - What Is A Hala? Which Deity Is Associated With A Hala And Called Haladhara?

(“plow”) The hala is a common Indian plow that represents farming and is also regarded a weapon in Hindu iconography, the field of study dealing with the representation of diverse characters.

The hala is most typically connected with Vishnu's incarnations, although Krishna's brother Balarama is the only one who constantly wears it.

One of his epithets is Haladhara ("bearer of a plow").
