Reiki in Comparison to Most Therapies

Reiki, according to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, is an alternative medicine technique that uses energy that research has yet to measure. Most energy healing techniques assume that humans are surrounded by and inhabit a specific form of energy. Energy treatments like Healing Touch are thought to help get these emotions back into balance.

Many Reiki practitioners consider Reiki to be different from most other forms of energy therapy and more similar to meditative practices.

Many energy therapy techniques use complex methods to obtain access to a person's biofield in order to create changes; Reiki does not attempt to diagnose symptoms or change the energy field on purpose. When the energy finds its course, they become more passive in their participation.

Reiki is, by its very essence, a very passive activity.

For the most of the treatment, the practitioner's hand does not twitch. The only thing they do is move their hands around. A Reiki practitioner is a non-judgmental group that makes no attempt to alter an individual or their energy field. A Reiki practitioner does not attempt to harness or use Reiki energy; instead, they merely place their hands on the body of a patient. When there is an open wound or burn that needs to be treated, they will also rest their hands right over the body.

The energy that occurs in a practitioner's hands is normal and refers to the individual's desires for equilibrium in specific fields.

As a result, and therapy is personalized to the individual's personal preferences, even though the doctor follows a common procedure for each session.

Reiki is best offered in a full session, but it can also be given in shorter sessions to target certain areas of a person's body. Only a few minutes of Reiki will make a huge difference in stressful situations.
