Hinduism - Who Is A Devar In A Hindu Joint Family?

The phrase for a husband's younger brother in a northern Indian joint household.

A husband and wife lead a conventional Indian joint household.

Sons, wives, and unmarried daughters of the pair live with them.

The married daughters live with the combined households of their husbands.

The term "joint family" refers to a group of individuals who live together.

Hindu gods are entrusted with the welfare of the family.
