Hinduism - Where Is Kapilavastu?

An ancient city in southern Nepal, directly over the Indian border from Bihar.

It was the capital city of Buddha's father, King Suddhodhana of the Shakya clan, according to Buddhist texts.

During the fifth century B.C.E., Kapilavastu was part of a vibrant urban network in that portion of India.
