Hinduism - What Is Nanak Jayanti?

Nanak Jayanti  is a Sikh and Hindu festival commemorating the birth of Lord Nanak.

The full moon in the lunar month of Kartik (October–November) is an auspicious time to celebrate the occasion of the Guru's birth.

This day is commemorated as the birthday of Guru Nanak, the first Sikh guru, and is widely observed by members of the Sikh community as well as the wider Indian society and diaspora abroad.
