Hinduism - Who Is Pushan Among The Adityas In Hindu Mythology?

An aditya (minor deity) who attends the sacrifice sponsored by the demigod Daksha in Hindu mythology.

The sacrifice is a failure because Daksha insults Shiva by failing to invite him to the event.

When Sati, Daksha's daughter and Shiva's wife, inquires about Shiva's exclusion, Daksha insults her in front of the whole party.

Sati commits suicide, ashamed and mortified.

When Shiva discovers this, he summons his ghastly henchmen and destroys the sacrifice completely.

Many of the visitors are injured or humiliated in the process, and Pushan's teeth are damaged and lost.
