Hinduism - Who Was Sister Nivedita?

(Margaret Noble, 1867–1911) Swami Vivekananda, a contemporary Hindu guru, taught in Ireland.

Nivedita dedicated most of her life to the Ramakrishna Mission, especially to Indian women's education.

Nivedita was born in Ireland and moved to London to teach, where she met Swami Vivekananda.

She embraced him as her guru and accompanied him to India, where she started the Nivedita Girls School in Calcutta.

Nivedita was one of the first Europeans to arrive in India in pursuit of answers to life's most profound problems.
