Yoga as a Spiritual Path

"Patanjali-vyasamukhan gurunanyamscha bhaktitah;

Natosmi vangmanah-kayairajnanadhvanta-bhaskaran"

—We pay our respects to Patanjali, Vyasa, and all other Rishis and Yogic Masters who, like so many Suns, strive to dispel the gloom of Ajnana (ignorance).

Man, unaware of his own Divine identity, attempts in vain to find satisfaction in the illusory sense-perishable universe's artifacts. Every man on the planet is anxious, dissatisfied, and discontented. He believes he needs something, the essence of which he does not fully comprehend. In the completion of ambitious ventures, he needs the relief and stability that he believes he needs. However, he discovers that securing earthly greatness is an illusion and a trap. It is likely that he would not see satisfaction in it. He acquires degrees, diplomas, titles, honors, powers, name, and fame; he marries; he has children; in short, he acquires everything he believes will bring him pleasure.

Through this, he is unable to find rest and quiet. Are you ashamed of yourself for feeding, resting, and chatting the same way over and over? Aren't you sick of the illusory artifacts produced by Maya's juggling? Is there a single true companion in this world for you? Is there any distinction between an animal and a so-called dignified human being with a boasted intellect who does not engage in everyday spiritual Sadhana for Self-realization? How much longer do you want to be a slave to love, Indriyas, women, and your own body?

Those wretched wretches who like filth and have lost their true Atmic identity and secret forces, woe to them! Only refined sensualists are referred to as "trained." Sensual gratification is not at all pleasurable. At every given time, the Indriyas are deceiving you. Pleasure that is accompanied by suffering, grief, terror, sin, or illness is not a pleasure at all. Happiness based on perishable items isn't happiness at all. You cry while your wife dies. You are drowned in grief if you lose money or land. How much longer do you want to be in that pitiful, degraded condition?

Those who ruin their lives by feeding, resting, and talking instead of practicing Sadhana are just brutes. Because of Avidya, Maya, Moha, and Raga, you have lost your true Svarupa, or life's meaning. The two currents of Raga and Dvesha throw you around aimlessly. Because of your egoism, Vasanas, Trishnas, and numerous passions, you are trapped in Samsara-Chakra. You're looking for an Ananda that is Nitya (eternal), Nirupadhika (independent), and Niratisaya (infinite). You can just discover this in your Self-realisation. And and only then can all the sorrows and tribulations vanish. You've taken this body solely for the sake of achieving this goal.

As a result, you are unaware that your life is eroding and being squandered. As a result, get up, get up.” Now is the time to get up. Do not close your eyes. Apply yourself to divine Sadhana with zeal. Many Yogins and Jnanins, as well as Dattatreya, Patanjali, Christ, Buddha, Gorakhnath, Matsyendranath, Ram Das, and others, have walked the holy journey and attained realization through Sadhana. Implicitly follow their orders and lessons. Your Divine heritage, your birthright, is courage, power, strength, wisdom, joy, and happiness. Complete all of them with proper Sadhana. It would be absurd to believe that your Guru would do the Sadhana for you.

You are the only one that can save yourself. Gurus and Acharyas will guide you on the divine path, erase your fears and worries, and inspire you. You'll need to follow the Spiritual Path. This is an important thing to remember. In the Spiritual Path, you will have to put each step yourself. As a result, practice true Sadhana. Enjoy the Highest Bliss until you've freed yourself from death and life.
