Macumba is an Afro-Brazilian spiritual tradition.
- It is often used interchangeably with Candomble, although it is also a term for "witchcraft."
- The term macumba is strongly connected with magical elements of spiritual tradition;
- Whether it is used favorably or negatively may reflect the user's feelings towards magical activity.
