Hinduism - What Is A Ghatika?

A ghatika is a span of twenty-four minutes in ancient Indian timekeeping.

Each twenty-four-hour day has sixty hours.

The ghatika takes its name from the clay pots (ghata) used to create water clocks, which calculated time by letting water to flow out of the pot via a tiny hole.
