Hinduism - What Is A Kiritamakuta?

A high crown with jewels and other adornment, sometimes crowned with a knob.

The deity Vishnu, especially in his appearance as Narayana, is connected with the kiritamakuta in Hindu iconography.

The kingly vision imparted by this crown strengthens Vishnu's claim to be the universe's ruler.
