Mahishmati is an
ancient city in central India located on the Narmada River.
Mahishmati was the outer
limitary for the Aryan advance in the fifth century B.C.E.
Mahmud of Ghazni was a
Turkish monarch who ruled from Ghazni from 998 to 1030.
(now in modern
Afghanistan).
