Hinduism - What Is The Gaura Festival Of India?

 

Gaura is a central Indian celebration that takes place on the first day of the bright or waxing half of the lunar month Kartik (October–November), the day after Diwali.

The Gaura festival commemorates the union of Shiva and Parvati, the goddess.
