Hinduism - Where Is Kangra?

Kangra is the name of a town and district in Himachal Pradesh that was formerly the capital of a minor hill kingdom of the same name.

Kangra is known for the Vajreshvari Devi temple, which is one of the nine Shiwalik deities.

Kangra's prominence as a courtly town drew sponsorship for the Pahari style of miniature painting in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
