Hinduism - Who Were The Gujjars Of Antiquity?

 

The Gujjars were a jati in old northern Indian civilization, and their hereditary employment was herding cattle, buffalo, and other animals.

In old Indian civilization, the Jatis were endogamous groupings that were structured (and their social rank established) by the group's hereditary employment.
