The jewel that the deity Vishnu wears on his breast in Hindu mythology.
One of the most valuable items created by churning the ocean
of milk is the Kaustubha gem.
The goddess Lakshmi, the Kamadhenu or wishing-cow, and the
elixir of immortality are among the other goods (amrita).
The Kaustubha gem, which Vishnu has, is a representation of
his strength and supremacy over the entire verse.
