Hinduism - What Is A Mantraraja? Who Is Considered Mantraraja In The Hindu Pantheon?

("Maharajah of Mantras") Narayana is the name given to an eight-syllable mantra associated with the deity Vishnu, in which the god is addressed as Narayana.

"Om Namo Narayana" ("Om, reverence to Narayana") is the mantra.

The Shrivaishnava religious community, which arose in southern India in the eleventh century, places special emphasis on this chant.

Ramanuja, the community's founder, is particularly identified with the mantra.

The faithful chanting of this mantra is considered to provide residency in Vaikuntha, Vishnu's celestial abode.
