products") Cow's milk, curds, clarified butter (ghee), pee, and dung are
mixed together.
Each of these goods is regarded a ritually cleansing
material since it originates from the holy cow.
Panchagavya is consumed for cleansing during expiation
rituals (prayashchitta), as well as various purifying ceremonies for persons,
items, and locations.
