Temperament-based treatment

Imagination, persuasion, faith, emotion or feeling, or will or conation can all be used depending on the individual's distinct imaginative, intellectual, emotional, or conative character. Only a few individuals are aware of this. Coue intends to cure everyone with solely autosuggestion.

The intellectually ill individual, on the other hand, is immune to suggestion and can only be affected by a philosophical explanation of the power of mind over the body.

He must intellectually comprehend the mind's dominance over the body.

If someone can comprehend, for example, that hypnosis may cause blisters, as Professor James points out in his "Principles of Psychology," he may comprehend the mind's ability to heal sickness. If the mind is capable of causing illness, it is also capable of causing good health.

Auto-suggestion is also unable to influence the sort of man who has a strong willpower. If he wants to be cured of his illness, he has to stimulate his willpower rather than his imagination.

A case was documented of an emotional individual who had lost his ability to speak but regained it while fleeing a burning house. The abrupt shock of seeing fire heightened his emotions to the point where he exclaimed, "Fire! Fire!" despite the fact that he had previously been unable to talk.

The force of a powerful emotion overcomes the subconscious mental sickness habit.

This anecdote demonstrates the importance of paying close attention while using affirmations to heal physical ailments. I was caught off guard by a bout of seasickness on my maiden steamship journey from India to Colombo, and I lost the priceless contents of my stomach.

I despised the experience since it was thrust upon me without my consent and at a time when I was reveling in my first encounters with a floating chamber (the cabin) and a swimming town. I vowed to myself that I would never be duped like that again.

I stepped forward and put my foot firmly on the cabin floor, commanding my determination to never tolerate another seasick sensation. Even though I was on the ocean for fifty days travelling from Calcutta to Boston, a month travelling to Japan, and twenty-six days travelling from Seattle to Alaska and back, I never became seasick again, even a very strong sea that made practically everyone else on board sick.

Willpower, creativity, reason, and emotion cannot heal the body on their own. They only function as various agents that, depending on the temperaments of various persons, might encourage the life energy to awaken and treat a certain condition.

If the will or imagination is constantly aroused in a case of arm paralysis, life energy will flow to the sick neural channels, healing the tissues and the paralyzed arm. The strength of the will and imagination should be adequate to awaken the uncontrolled or inert life force, hence affirmations should be repeated often. Yoga teaches how to harness this Life Current directly for healing oneself and others through its skills of focus and meditation, as well as will control.

No one should ever underestimate the power of repeated, ever-deeper efforts of will or imaginative affirmations, such as those described here, to cure harmful habits, mental or physical ailments.

Man's God-Given Power

It is important to remember that nothing has more power than the Cosmic Consciousness or God. The strength of Cosmic Consciousness outweighs the strength of your or others' minds. As a result, you should seek Its help on your own.

However, this does not imply that you should become docile, inactive, or credulous, or that you should underestimate your mind's strength. Remember that God aids those who assist themselves.

He gave you the ability to help yourself through willpower, attention, faith, reason, and common sense in your physical and mental ailments.

You must employ all of them in your quest for Divine assistance.

But keep in mind that while utilizing your own willpower or common sense to overcome a problem or condition, you must not rely primarily on, or tether yourself to, your Ego, since this will cause you to lose touch with the Divine Force.

Feel as if you are utilizing your personal yet God-given ability to cure yourself or others through affirmations or prayer vibrations.

Always remember that it is not only God, but also yourself, as His cherished child, who strives to use His given will, reason, and so on to respond to life's challenging situations. Between the traditional notion of completely relying on God and the current manner of relying only on the ego, a balance must be achieved.

Will affirmations should be accompanied by strong will; feeling affirmations should be accompanied by devotion; reason affirmations should be accompanied by intellect and devotion; imagination affirmations should be accompanied by firm fancy and faith.

Others choose the affirmation that is most appropriate for your patient's creative, imaginative, emotional, or contemplative temperament.

The intensity of attention comes first in all affirmations, but consistency and repetition are also important. Impregnate your affirmations with your devotion, will, and faith, repeatedly and intensely, without regard for the results, which will come as a natural result of your efforts.

The focus of attention throughout the physical healing process should not be on the ailment, which invariably dampens faith, but on the mind.

The focus should be on the opposite mental quality during mental cures of fear, rage, any negative habit, consciousness of failure, unsuccess, anxiousness, and so on. For example, the treatment for fear is cultivating the awareness of courage; of anger-peace; of weakness-strength; of sickness-health.

How does Yoga Help Manage and Reduce Weight?

Yoga is now widely used both in restricting and lowering weight. It not only reduces your hunger and enhances your capacity to produce calories from the food you do consume, but it also strengthens your self-esteem, increases your trust in your ability to complete tasks, and, perhaps most importantly, gives you a sense of the sanctity of your own being, both physical and nonphysical. This almost moral, perhaps divine aspect of yoga practice will provide you with the strength you need to conquer such a daunting foe as the powerful, often overwhelming urge to feed.

But what you really want to know—and this is the most important topic to address—is how yoga will help you lose weight in practice.

If you want to lose weight, there are six valid reasons to practice yoga:

1. It controls the hunger. Yoga has hormonal effects on your hunger base, but it also has psychological effects on your body's self-perception.

You're more versatile, adaptable, and willing to take action. Many people will have a sense of lightness. You discover that there are pleasures other than culinary after feeling that way a few times and enjoying it, and compared it to the feeling after a heavy meal, that there are pleasures other than culinary, and that eating differently means feeling healthier. It's like being in a really good mood for a long time.

2. It alters your eating habits. Nathan Pritikin, Dean Ornish, and Andrew Weil, to name a few, are dietary improvement proponents who push for less fast food, less fat, less packaged food, and more fruits. Books like Gene Stone's best-selling Forks Over Knives, which has recipes, and Dr. Jonathan Aviv's The Acid Watcher Diet do the same. Yoga's indirect results promote the same kind of action that these professionals, who are known as gurus, support. Yogis consume a large amount of vegetables.

New research is starting to show that a variety of edible plants increase PGC-1alpha synthesis (more on that interesting substance, as well as mitochondria and telomeres, later) and preserve antidiabetic pathways. Non-barbecued meats, as well as brightly colored fruits and vegetables, tend to play a greater role in the diets of people with longer telomeres and fuller lives.

3. It boosts the overall metabolism by increasing the amount of mitochondria and their function. The total number of extra calories you'll burn has never been calculated, but a majority of serious yogis' healthy silhouettes, fitness, and high functioning testify to the benefits of PGC-1alpha, the in-body trigger for more and more active mitochondria.

This entails turning more glucose into energy rather than storing it as fat.

4. It backs you up. Weight Watchers has developed a benevolent empire through a mixture of diet and community programs. Years after, it transitioned from becoming a diet organization to using social meetings to support a line of low-calorie meals, a score system to track the effects of certain foods, and a new way of living for their customers. One of the open keys to the company's subsequent success tends to be the peer-group aspect as a way of affirming that lifestyle.

Many who attend yoga classes have a built-in support network of individuals who live a healthy lifestyle in general. Although the group participants may or may not adjust, and no one is weighed once a week, the group dynamic is close to that of Weight Watchers. The lack of goods of the past, advantages for the whole body and soul rather than just the numbers on the meter, and very low to no cost are among the distinctions.

5. Self-control seems to be the essence of weight loss, and yoga encourages self-control as few other activities. Self-discipline is essentially the art of listening to oneself. Self-discipline is what allows you to obey your own imperative when you make a decision. When your determination runs counter to your wishes, the principle is raised to a virtue.

It needs a lot of inner willpower to stick to your plans after that. Yoga will assist you in achieving that level of commitment to your goals. People are always surprised to learn that they are doing yoga on a regular basis.

I've heard people say things like, "I've never been consistent with anything like this before." Yoga, like a Honda commercial from years before, “sells itself,” invoking a virtuous cycle without the need for outside help.

6. The observation that you are diligently following the yoga prompts and continues a good outlook that is almost a corollary of self-discipline, an inward "Yes I will." What is willpower if it isn't a mixture of an optimistic outlook and a strong sense of self-control?

Yoga aids weight loss for a variety of less concrete yet significant causes. According to what we already know, yoga started as a self-improvement program, a means of salvation from the world's contradictions and supposed meaninglessness. The graceful simplicity and easy relaxation of its practice, on the other hand, have led both Western and Eastern minds in the opposite direction—right back to our daily realities.

Vital interest in yoga has swayed like an ethereal pendulum from the uncommon realms of everlasting happiness and Nirvana to day-to-day concerns of pragmatic concern. For the last two decades, there has been a fervent emphasis on adapting yoga to real-world issues. It has been clinically proven to aid in the treatment of medical conditions such as back pain, PTSD, stroke, high blood pressure, among many others. And, although it hasn't been confirmed, I think it will contribute to world peace.

Yogis in the past existed in a variety of ways. Some practiced yoga while living a daily life, as do the majority of modern yoga practitioners, who have children, careers, and a variety of interests and activities.

Others were attached to the great houses of the rich, serving as spiritual guides, tutors for the girls, and physicians; still others lived in groups, mostly in wild surroundings, self-consciously separated from society; still others were attached to the great houses of the wealthy, serving as spiritual guides, tutors for the children, and physicians. Two of these three functions are still in use, with meditation and mindfulness guiding the spiritual path with numerous clinicians using yoga to address practical medical issues ranging from cancer chemotherapy comorbidities and age-old conditions like insomnia and obesity.

Spirituality is implicit in the practice, just as elegance can be seen in the gaps between the lines in some Japanese drawings.

These "higher" results will aid in the application of yoga to the often basic, often complicated task of weight loss.

This is a viable option. It's true. It might be useful to study the already-proven medicinal effects of yoga to bolster your faith in using this ancient practice for this new venture. Being overweight is linked to all of the medical problems that yoga can either relieve or heal.

Yoga Props - Recommended Props And Benefits

    ASANAS WITH PROPS

To assist them practice asanas efficiently, ancient yogis utilized logs of wood, stones, and ropes.

We can extend this concept by inventing supports that enable asanas to be held more comfortably and for longer periods of time without strain.

    • Yoga asanas need bodily expansion and effort, as well as rest.
    • More significantly, the motions are designed to position the body properly.
    • This also involves mental alignment, in which the mind is equally distributed throughout the body.

Yoga demands that you be in excellent mental and physical shape to practice.

    • Nonetheless, in my many years of yoga, I've discovered that even in excellent health, certain postures may be difficult to hold for the necessary amount of time.
    • Some asanas, however, require body movements that are too difficult for even the healthiest pupils to undertake without assistance.
    • It is for this reason that I created the practice of using supports in yoga.

The practice of asanas has never been simpler, less exhausting, or more pleasurable thanks to these props, which make each asana equally accessible to all yoga students, whether they are weak or strong, young or old, beginners or experienced, or those who need to save energy due to tiredness or injury.

    HOW PROPS CAN ASSIST.

A yoga prop is any item that aids in stretching, strengthening, relaxing, or improving body alignment.

    • It allows you to do asanas for extended periods of time while conserving energy.
    • These props enable asanas to be practiced in a more comfortable manner, actively as well as passively balancing the body and mind.
    • One can assist students throughout their practice with the body, but this depletes one's own stores of energy and can prove exhaustive, ineffective and inefficient as numbers grow or while being alone at home.

To assist in achieving the ultimate posture, we can start by experimenting with common, everyday items like as walls, chairs, stools, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and belts.

    • We see the importance of props when dealing with individuals who were afflicted by sickness or disease.
    • By adding additional height, weight, or support to the body, I found that props helped me remember essential motions and minor changes.
    • The usage of props also enhanced my blood circulation and respiratory capacity.
    • This prompted me to design props that could be customized to meet the requirements of any person.

Yoga asana with props is unique in that it is the only type of exercise that allows for simultaneous movement and rest.

    • It works by activating muscles, toning the body's organs, and relieving mental and physical tension.
    • Props aid in increasing flexibility and stamina while also relaxing slack and weary muscles.
    • They aid in the rejuvenation of the whole body while reducing physical weariness.
    • Yoga students find the practice of asanas with supports to be a highly energizing activity.
    • It provides them the courage to try harder asanas and guarantees that they are practicing correctly.
    • Props assist to improve and deepen knowledge of each asana by providing a sense of direction and alignment. They act as silent educators.

    THERAPY AND PROPS.

When the body is tired, sluggish, or lethargic, practicing with supports may help. The nerve system calms down, the brain relaxes, and the mind is comforted.

    • Props in asanas help to develop emotional stability and willpower.
    • Anxiety, worries, and sadness fade away when stress is lessened, allowing people who are emotionally stressed to deal better with all areas of their life.
    • The heart, as well as the respiratory, abdominal, and pelvic organs, are relaxed and revitalized as blood circulation improves.

Setubandha Sarvangasana, for example, when performed on a wide wooden bench, improves coronary blood flow by relaxing and invigorating the heart without putting any physical pressure on it.

    • This makes it suitable for those who have heart problems.
    • Many common illnesses may be relieved by asanas performed with the assistance of bolsters, blocks, stools, or chairs.
    • They relieve rheumatism and arthritis by regulating blood pressure, easing dyspnea and asthma, and removing stiffness in the back, hips, knees, and feet.
    • Yoga with props liberates the soul by releasing connection to the body. It aids with the improvement of posture and balance while also enabling you to stretch and relax while practice.

Finally, yoga with supports provides a sense of calm and serenity, resulting in a new perspective and renewed strength. Some of the items on the next pages were designed especially for your practice. Others are things you'll discover in your own house.

PRACTICE IN FRONT OF A WALL.

Standing and inverted asanas benefit from the assistance of a wall to help maintain balance and alignment.

    • It offers you the assurance that you won't get hurt or overworked while practicing.
    • In the practice of Tadasana, the wall is very useful.
    • Make sure you're doing your standing asanas on a flat, level surface.
    • Do not practice on a mat or blanket, and do not wear socks to prevent sliding.
    • Shoes limit mobility, cramp the toes, and decrease sensitivity in the soles, reducing your ability to feel all the changes in the posture.
    • Always practice Tadasana and its variants with bare feet.

    LIST OF RECOMMENDED YOGA PROPS.

The props you see here are likely to be found in your own house. When practicing with props, utilize them in the manner that suits you best.

I've given some basic recommendations, but the most essential thing to remember is that while practicing an asana, you should feel comfortable and calm.

When you practice the asana, the props mentioned below support your whole body, providing you the height you need to better coordinate your movements and maintain balance in the position.

    1. YOGA PROP - CHAIR.

The open back rest of this foldable metal chair enables you to put your legs through it. This allows for a simpler, yet still efficient, torso rotation in sitting twists like Bharadvajasana.

When entering Salamba Sarvangasana and Halasana, you may keep your balance by holding the sides of the back rest. Back bends like Viparita Dandasana benefit from it since it supports the torso.

Ascertain that the chair is fully stable and that it is securely planted on the ground.

    2. YOGA PROP - BENCH MADE OF WOOD.

This bench should be wide enough to comfortably support your torso and about 60cm (2ft) high. It has to be securely planted on the ground.

Cardiac patients, as well as those suffering from migraines or respiratory problems, would benefit from using this bench in their Setubandha Sarvangasana practice.

    3. YOGA PROP - HALASANA STOOL

To support the back and feet in Paripurna Navasana, and the back in Ustrasana, this stool should be 30–45cm (1–1.5ft) high. This stool aids in the practice of asanas that require back, abdominal, arm, and leg flexibility and strength.

    4. YOGA PROP - STOOL IS LOW AND OPEN.

A stool with open sides supports the body in back bends like Ustrasana, making it easier to raise and arch the torso. The stool should not exceed 45cm (1.5ft) in height and should be securely planted on the ground.

    5. YOGA PROP - HIGH STOOL.

This mid-thigh-height stool is useful for practicing standing twists like Utthita Marichyasana. The stool enables you to properly twist your spine and torso without putting any pressure on your back.

Make sure the stool is securely attached to the ground and has a broad enough top to comfortably put your whole foot on.

The props listed below support certain areas of the body and enable asanas to be sustained for extended periods of time without strain.

Beginners, individuals with tight joints or muscles, and people with high blood pressure who require head support in forward bends can benefit from these.

    6. YOGA PROP - BOLSTER.

Bolsters provide support for your body while allowing you to stretch and rest comfortably. The bolster should be filled with thick cotton and weigh about 3kg (7lbs).

The bolster should be approximately 60cm (2ft) long and 23cm wide (9in). It should ideally have a cotton cover that can be removed.

    7. YOGA PROP - BLOCK OF FOAM.

To support the head in forward bends and the back in pranayama, a foam block is put underneath stacked wooden blocks. Its measurements are about 30cm (1ft) x 18cm (7in) x 5cm (2in).

    8. YOGA PROP - BLOCK MADE OF WOOD.

In all kinds of asanas, wooden blocks are often utilized for support. They provide support for the legs, knees, or palms in sitting and standing asanas, as well as height to seated twists.

A block is used in Ujjayi Pranayama to support the back and open the chest. Blocks offer support for the head and hands in forward bends like Uttanasana.

The block should be approximately 23cm (9in) × 12cm (4.5in) x 7cm in size (3in). It may be put on the short side (a), the long side (b), or the wide side (c), depending on your needs.

While several asanas in this chapter have a recommended height, you should put the block at the height that is most comfortable for you.

    9. YOGA PROP - WOODEN BLOCK WITH A ROUNDED TOP.

In the standing twist, Utthita Marichyasana, a small block is utilized to increase height.

It allows you to twist your body more efficiently and without exerting too much effort. It measures about 5cm (2in) in height and 10cm (4in) in length.

    10. YOGA PROP - BLANKET THAT HAS BEEN FOLDED.

In reclining asanas and pranayama, folded blankets are utilized to support the back, expand the chest, and support the head and shoulders in inversions like Salamba Sarvangasana.

In sitting asanas, they offer height, which helps to maintain the torso and spine upright and corrects bad structural posture. Cotton blankets with a size of 2m (6.5ft) × 1.2m (4ft) are ideal.

When using one to soften the impact of a chair or a bench on the body, fold it in half three times. To add height to sitting asanas and seated twists, fold in half four or five times.

    11. YOGA PROP - BLANKET WITH ROLLED EDGES.

In reclining asanas and back bends, this is utilized to support the neck, as well as the small of the back in back bends like Viparita Dandasana.

In Virasana and Adhomukha Virasana, it helps to alleviate tension on the chest, thighs, and ankles. Four times fold a cotton blanket in half, then wrap it up firmly (see above).

Some asanas benefit from the use of these two props. The stretch is enhanced by the belt, which avoids muscle or joint tension.

The bandage facilitates total relaxation by allowing you to focus your thoughts within.

    12. YOGA PROP - BELT FOR YOGA.

In the last stretch of Supta Padangusthasana, Urdhvamukha Janu Sirsasana, and Paripurna Navasana, the belt assists in providing the necessary tension without strain.

The belt is about 60cm (2ft) in length and is constructed of a sturdy woven cloth with buckles on both ends.

    13. YOGA PROP - BANDAGE MADE OF CREPE.

The eyes retreat into their sockets with the assistance of the blindfold, which is 2.5–3m (8–10ft) long and 10cm (4in) wide.

In Savasana and Pranayama, this cools the brain and relaxes the face muscles and neurological system.

    BHAKTI YOGA

The reverence of elements and dead deities is the lowest rung on the Bhakti Yoga ladder. This is the most obscene form of worship. The worship of Rishis, Devas, and Pitris follows. Each person's confidence is influenced by his or her personality. The guy is made up of his religion, and he is even that.

Those who worship Avataras such as Sri Rama, Krishna, and Narasimha belong to the third class. The Saguna method of worship is practiced by the four groups of Bhaktas mentioned above. The Bhaktas are the next group, who perform Nirguna Upasana on an attributeless Brahman. This is the highest level of worship, and is appropriate for educated people with good willpower and bold knowledge.

Ahamgraha Upasana or Jnana Yoga Sadhana is the name for this pose.

Bhakti is a skill that can be learned and developed. Bhakti can be infused by the practice of the Nava Vidha Bhakti (nine ways of devotion). Constant Satsanga, Japa, Prayer, Reflection, Svadhyaya, Bhajan, Svadhyaya, Svadhyaya, Svadhyaya, Svadhyay

Bhakti will be developed by service to saints, Dana, and Yatra, among other things.

The 9 strategies for improving Bhakti are as follows:

    1. Sravana:—hearing of the Lilas of God
    2. Smarana:—remembering God always
    3. Kirtan:—singing His praise
    4. Vandana:—Namaskaras to God
    5. Archana:—offerings to God
    6. Pada-Sevana:—attendance
    7. Sakhya:—friendship
    8. Dasya:—service
    9. Atma-nivedana:—self-surrender to Guru or God

Sri Ramanuja suggests the following 10 Bhakti-development measures:

    1. Viveka:—discrimination
    2. Vimoka:—freedom from all else and longing for God
    3. Abhyasa:—continuous thinking of God
    4. Kriya:—doing good to others
    5. Kalyana:—wishing well to all
    6. Satyam:—truthfulness
    7. Arjavam:—integrity
    8. Daya:—compassion
    9. Ahimsa:—non-violence
    10. Dana:—charity

Namdev, Ramdas, Tulsidas, and others were among the fortunate ones who received God's Darshan. Yoga-Bhrashtas were these Bhaktas. They were born with a large number of divine Samskaras. They worshiped God with heartfelt reverence in many births. In their final incarnation, they didn't do any Sadhana. Because of the force of previous Bhakti Samskaras, their loyalty was normal and spontaneous. Ordinary people should take extreme steps and practice unique Sadhana in order to develop Bhakti quickly. To the greatest extent possible, new grooves and pathways must be carved in the old stony, devotionless middle. A Bhakta should lift his consciousness to a high degree and attain Para Bhakti, highest wisdom, and Supreme peace by daily meditation, Japa, Kirtan, service to Bhaktas, charity, Vrata, Tapas, Dhyana, and Samadhi. The meditator and the meditated, the worshipper and the revered, the Upasaka and the Upasya will merge in advanced stages of meditation. In Samadhi, Dhyana will come to an end. It is important to train on a daily basis.

A Hatha Yogi attains the highest level through the practice of various Mudras, Bandhas, Asanas, and other exercises; a Jnani attains the highest level through the practice of Sravana, Manana, and Nididhyasana; a Karma Yogin attains the highest level through selfless works (Nishkama Seva); a Bhakta attains the highest level through Bhakti and self-surrender; and In either instance, the goal is the same, but the strategies are different.

Concentration and meditation on Shakti, the primal spirit, is merely a variation of Jnana Yogic Sadhana. Raja Yoga is the practice of concentrating and meditating on the various energy centers. Hatha Yoga is characterized by concentration on the various Chakras and Nadis, as well as physical approaches for awakening Shakti. Concentration and concentration on the Devata, the presiding deity of the various inner Chakras, can be done as a Bhakti Yoga advanced course. Different Sadhana strategies should be mixed for swift results.

When the Bhakta meditates on the presiding deity or Devata, he imagines a different kind of God for each Chakra. For each Chakra, detailed explanations of God and the Devatas are provided in Mantra Shastra books. They take on the form of God in various ways depending on the attitude of the students. In any situation, the aspirants' perceptions and emotions differ. As a result, I'm not going to list any of the Devas and Devatas. When a person closes his eyes and meditates on the inner Chakras, he has numerous visions and sees God in various ways. That is the best he can hold on to. Only then is true growth feasible. The general knowledge presented in this Kundalini Yoga's theoretical section would undoubtedly aid concentration and meditation on the Chakras.

    8 IMPORTANT YOGA SIDDHIS

In the direction of Kundalini Yoga, an experienced Purnayogi has eight main Siddhis: Anima, Mahima, Laghima, Garima, Prapti, Prakamya, Vasitvam, and Ishitvam.

    1. Anima: The Yogi will shrink to whatever size he wants.

    2. Mahima: The antithesis of Anima. He has the ability to grow to whatever size he desires. He has the ability to enlarge his body to enormous proportions. He has the ability to occupy the whole universe. He will take on the form of Virat Svarupa.

    3. Laghima: He has the ability to turn his body into cloth or feathers. This Siddhi is used for Vayustambhanam. Control is also exerted to a limited extent in Jalastambhanam. Plavini Pranayama makes the body lighter. Swallowing huge draughts of air causes the Yogi's real gravity to decrease. With the assistance of this Siddhi, the Yogi will fly across the heavens. In a single second, he will fly thousands of miles.

4.Garima is the polar opposite of Laghima. The Yogi's specific gravity increases as a result of this. Through drinking draughts of air, he will make his body as big as a mountain.

    5. Prapti: When a Yogi stands on the ground, he or she has the ability to hit the highest objects. He has the ability to touch the sun, moon, and sky. The Yogi obtains his desired artifacts and divine energies through this Siddhi. He gains the ability to forecast future events, as well as clairvoyance, clairaudience, telepathy, thought-reading, and other abilities. He may communicate with animals and birds in their native tongues. He can also communicate in languages he is unfamiliar with. He has the ability to heal all illnesses.

    6. Prakamya: He has the ability to dive into the sea and emerge at any moment. Benares' late Trilinga Swami used to spend six months living under the Ganges. It's the method by which a Yogi will become invisible at times. Some writers describe it as the ability to access another person's body (Parakaya Pravesh). Sri Sankara joined the body of Benares' Raja Amaruka. In Southern India, Tirumular penetrated the body of a shepherd. This was also done by Raja Vikramaditya. It's also the ability to maintain a youthful beauty for an extended period of time. This was the influence of Raja Yayati.

Reiki and the Influence of Positive Thoughts

On the surface, the word "good thought" sounds great. Happy feelings are preferred by the majority of people over pessimistic ones. This is an example of an expression.

In the real world, it's usually dismissed as fluffy. It doesn't have the same ring to it as words like "hard worker" or "work ethic." These perspectives are shifting.

Good living, according to research and people, isn't just about being happy or plastering a grin on your face for everyone to see. Positive words bring true meaning to your daily life and will help you develop qualities that can outlast a fake smile.

Barbara Fredrickson, a positive thinking professor at the University of North Carolina, has helped to demonstrate the impact of positive emotions in daily life. Let's take a closer look at what she discovered and what it means for you.

Let's take a look at the effects of negative emotions on the brain. Consider the following scenario.

Pretend you're out for a stroll through the jungle. On the street ahead of you, a tiger comes out of nowhere. Your subconscious naturally produces a negative reaction when you see a tiger. Fear is the case in this instance.

Negative reactions have long been known to encourage you to respond in a certain manner, according to researchers. For example, if a tiger approaches you, you will flee. At the moment, nothing else matters. Your focus is on the wolf, the terror, and how you want to flee.

This suggests that a depressive emotion can cause the mind and emotions to become more narrowly focused. You have the choice of picking up a rock, climbing a branch, or picking up a leaf right now. These solutions aren't important when there's a tiger in front of you, so your brain lacks them.

This is a great tool to have in case you need to defend yourself, because in today's world, you don't have to be afraid of sneaking up on a tiger in the jungle. The bad news is that the brain is already wired to react to negative feelings by shutting out the rest of the world and limiting what you see.

Another scenario would be if you were in a war with others. You might become totally consumed by your rage and feelings, and you won't be able to care of anything else. If you're stressed out by what you have to do today, you can find it difficult to concentrate on what you need to do or how to get started because the duration of your to-do list has paralyzed you. You may be unhappy because you haven't been eating or exercising well. Everything you can think of is your willpower and accusing yourself of being a slacker. You are losing hope as a result of this.

Like the tiger, the brain turns down to the outside world and relies only on the feelings of tension, frustration, and terror in all of these scenarios. Negative thoughts only serve to keep the brain from considering any possibilities that might exist. This is a natural reaction to adversity.

So, what are the effects of good thinking on the brain?

Fredrickson conducted research to see if constructive thoughts had an impact on the brain. She separated her subjects into five classes and showed them various movie clips in this experiment.

Two participants were shown clips that elicited happy feelings. One party was shown items that made them very happy. The other party was shown items that made them happy.

The third party was the monitoring group, who was shown items that had little effect on their emotions.

The final two classes were shown videos that elicited pessimistic feelings. One of the final groups was shown images that elicited terror, while the other was shown images that elicited rage.

After seeing the videos, participants were asked to imagine themselves in a situation that would elicit the same feelings and write down what they would do. They were given a sheet of paper with 20 blank lines that began with “I would like to...” on it.

Participants that were given photographs that elicited anxiety or rage were unable to record as many responses. Participants who were given photos that made them happy and satisfied were able to write down a lot of acts than the control group.

This means that whether you experience good feelings such as passion, pleasure, or contentment, you can see more possibilities in your life. Positive feelings, according to the results, will expand your sense of possibility and open your mind. Later on, more important findings were made:

    • Good feelings have benefits that last even after the feeling has passed. These feelings provide you with the most perks, including the opportunity to develop greater abilities that you can apply later in life.
    • By running athletically, playing and engaging with others, and learning how to discover the world, children who run outdoors, swing in tree branches, and interact with friends grow physical, emotional, and artistic abilities. This occurs when the child's feelings of laughter and play encourage him or her to develop qualities that will be valuable later in life.
    • This abilities would last them even longer than the feelings that motivated them to train in the first place. Negative thoughts have a different impact and developing potential abilities is meaningless to the brain in a situation where you are in imminent danger or a challenge.
    • These feelings and opinions will have a significant effect on your life. It is important that you have a better understanding of constructive thought.
    • Don't get the wrong idea about what positive thinking entails. This does not imply that you ignore the negative aspects of life. Positive thought entails approaching difficult situations in a positive and efficient manner. You must have confidence that none of the finest would occur.
    • Self-talk is the first step toward constructive thinking. If you're not familiar with the word, it refers to the unspoken communication that occurs in your head. There are either pessimistic or optimistic emotions. Self-talk may be rational or logical.
    • It may result from misunderstandings caused by a lack of knowledge about a topic.
    • If your self-talk is more gloomy, you'll have a bleak perspective. You would be more confident if the self-talk is constructive.
    • Researchers are also looking at the health benefits of hope and optimistic thought. Here are a few of the advantages:
    • Improved digestive fitness and decreased risk of death from heart failure. Improved physical and psychological well-being. Increased vulnerability to catching a cold. Lower stress levels. Lower depression levels. A longer life.

Negative self-talk can take the following forms:

    Distinguishing

You only see life in one of two ways: positive or evil. There is no such thing as a middle ground.

You believe you must be flawless or you will be judged a disappointment.

    Apocalyptic thinking

Your mind would immediately jump to the worst-case situation. Your daily coffee shop makes a mistake in your order, and you fear the rest of your day will be a disaster.

    Customization

You immediately blame yourself when something goes wrong or something negative occurs. Consider the following scenario: your friend's night out is cancelled. You assume it's that no one wishes to be with you, so everybody has cancelled.

    Filtration

You emphasize the negative aspects of a case while overlooking the positive aspects.

For instance, you had a fantastic day at work. You completed all of your assignments ahead of schedule, and your supervisor complimented you on the consistency of your work and how quickly you completed it. That evening, all you can think of is completing more activities the next day and completely forget about your boss's compliments.

No need to be concerned; replacing negative feelings with positive ones is easy. It will take some initiative and time. It's the same as forming a new habit.

Here are a few ideas for getting started:

    1. Identify areas that require improvement.
    2. Find the areas of your life that you are still pessimistic if you want to become more motivated and practice constructive thinking. This could be a daily drive to work, a friendship, or something else. Begin by concentrating on a single region.
    3. Examine yourself.
    4. Check in on yourself every now and then during the day to see what you're dreaming about. If you notice that your feelings are pessimistic, try to find a way to change them.
    5. Learn to appreciate a good laugh.
    6. Allow yourself to laugh and smile, particularly if you're having a difficult time. Find a sense of humor in all that happens during the day. You can be less depressed if you will learn to laugh at yourself.
    7. Begin living a healthier lifestyle.
    8. Begin exercising for 30 minutes a few times per week. If you don't have 30 minutes to spare, divide the workout into three ten-minute sets.
    9. Exercise has a calming impact on the mood which can aid in stress reduction. A balanced diet can help to power both the body and mind.
    10. Surround yourself with things that are positive.
    11. Be certain that the people you spend time with will bring you joy. They must be encouraging and upbeat. They must provide you with constructive criticism and guidance. You will experience more tension and disappointment if you associate yourself with pessimistic people.
    12. Strong self-talk is a good habit to get into.
    13. Try to remember the following rule: Never say something to an acquaintance that you wouldn't say to a friend.
    14. You must be encouraging and compassionate, and if negative feelings do arise, rationally examine them and repeat a constructive reinforcement. Make a list of things for which you are grateful.

    PRANIC HEALING

Pranayama practitioners may use their Prana to help treat morbid diseases. They can also quickly replenish their Prana reserves by practicing Kumbhaka. Never believe that distributing Prana to others would deplete your Prana. The more you send, the more from the celestial stream will flow to you (Hiranyagarbha). It is the natural law. Do not turn into a snob. If there is a rheumatic patient, use both hands to carefully shampoo his thighs. Do Kumbhaka when shampooing (massaging) and feel the Prana is streaming from your hands to your customer. Connect with Hiranyagarbha, or cosmic Prana, and see cosmic energies streaming through your hands into the patient.

Warmth, relaxation, and strength will both come over the patient at the same time. Massage and your magnetic touch will help you recover from a fever, intestinal colic, or some other illness. You should talk to the cells and give them instructions as you rub the liver, spleen, intestine, or some other part or organ of the body:—“O cells! Make sure your duties are properly discharged. It is what I command you to do.” They will follow your instructions. They, too, are endowed with a kind of subconscious wisdom. When you pass your Prana to others, repeat your Mantra. Have a look at a few examples. You will improve your skills. You should also treat scorpion stings. Shampoo the leg gently to remove the venom.

Pranayama will give you exceptional concentrating strength, a powerful will, and a perfectly balanced, strong body if you practice it daily. You'll have to deliberately steer Prana to unhealthy parts of your body. Assume you have a slow-moving liver. Take a seat in Padmasana. Close your eyes for a moment.

Sukha Purvaka Pranayama should be practiced. Prana should be directed to the liver area. Concentrate your thoughts on that area. Concentrate your mind on that field. Imagine Prana entering all of the tissues and cells of the liver lobes and doing its curative, regenerative, and constructive function there. By transporting Prana to diseased places, faith, creativity, focus, and curiosity play an important role in curing diseases. Imagine the morbid impurities in the liver being expelled during exhalation.

12 times in the morning and 12 times in the evening, repeat this procedure. The liver's sluggishness will go down in a few days. This is a non-drug therapy. This is a natural remedy. During Pranayama, you can guide the Prana to any part of the body, curing any illness, acute or chronic. Once or twice, try to cure yourself. Your beliefs will become more strong. Why do you scream for ghee when you have butter in your lap, when you have a cheap, strong, and easily accessible remedy or agent called ‘Prana' at your disposal at all times? Use it sparingly. You will heal multiple illnesses with only a touch if you improve your focus and exercise. Many illnesses can be overcome by sheer willpower in their advanced stages.

Spiritual Efficacy and Science of Curative Methods

Disease is commonly thought to be caused by external material factors, but few recognize that it is caused by the Life Force's inactivity. When the cell or tissue vehicle of the cell or tissue vehicle of the cell or tissue vehicle of the cell or tissue

If the Life Energy is harmed in any manner, the Life Energy withdraws from that location, and difficulty ensues. Medicine, massage, and electricity all work to excite the cell in such a manner that the dormant Life Energy is enticed to return and start its previous repair job.

In no way should we be fanatics.

We should use whatever therapeutic practices are appropriate for us, based on our personal convictions. One thing to keep in mind is that medicine, food, toxins, and other substances all have a chemical reaction in the blood and body.

Why should one deny that drugs or other material assistance have no effect on the body as long as he eats?

As long as only the material consciousness is present, they are beneficial. However, because they are administered from the outside, they have restrictions.

The most effective approaches are those that assist the internal Life Energy in resuming its healing functions.

Medicine assists the blood and tissues chemically. The use of electronic equipment is also advantageous.

Medicine and electricity, on the other hand, cannot heal sickness; they can only stimulate or coax the Life Energy back to the sick bodily part.

As a result, introducing a new foreign element, whether medication, electricity, or any other external assist, is undesirable if we can utilize Life Energy to achieve a treatment without the need of an intermediary agent.

There is no outside influence in massage, osteopathic therapy, vertebral adjustment, Yoga poses, and so on, and by using these procedures, we may remove or alleviate congestion in the nerves or vertebrae and allow the free passage of Life Energy.

Mental treatment, on the other hand, is superior to all physical healing procedures because will, imagination, faith, and other phases of awareness function directly from inside and are the motivational energies that stimulate and lead the Life Energy to complete any specific goal.

As a result, we can see that both physical and mental cures are only effective if they can impact and awaken the Life Energy.

The Life Energy is the one who heals, and the approach that has the most power over the Life Energy is the best. The Yoga methodology teaches you how to use your willpower to help the actual vibrating Life Energy reach any portion of your body.

Neither physical culture nor mental health can compare to the amazing outcomes of Yoga, which works directly with the will and the Life Energy. It's hardly a stretch to imagine that the Yoga exercises cause tingling energy to spread throughout the body.

Medicine can be used to treat minor itchiness, sores, and wounds, among other things. If your arm is broken, it's pointless to ask God to reunite your misplaced bones when a doctor (a child of God) can heal it with a little skill and understanding of God's own rules as they apply to matter. It's ok if you can instantly cure your damaged bones using mental strength, but don't wait.

Although matter does not exist in the sense we generally think of it, it does exist as a hallucination.

A strategy for dispelling misconception is required. A drugs addict cannot be cured in a single instant. Material awareness occupies man by a law of illusion, and the material awareness can only be destroyed by following the opposing law of correcting the deception.

Both the raving doctor and the mental healer are extremes. They're mistaken because they establish a boundary between matter and spirit.

Matter arises from and cannot be distinguished from its cause, the Spirit, as a result of a sequence of materialization processes.

Matter is a partial manifestation of Spirit, with the infinite looking finite and the limitless looking restricted.

Matter, on the other hand, cannot exist without the Spirit since matter is nothing but Spirit in its illusive incarnation. As a result, the Spirit exists while matter does not.
