Hinduism And Hindu Theology - What Is Archana?

Archana literally means “salutation” in Sanskrit.

  • Welcome and respect rites, typically conducted at a temple during formal worship of a god.
  • This term may also apply to rituals of respect and greeting done for one's elders, superiors, or any distinguished visitor in a broader sense.
