Hinduism - What Is Chin Mudra (Consciousness Mudra)?

A symbolic hand gesture (mudra) in Indian dance, sculpture, and ritual in which the tips of the thumb and index finger connect, with the rest of the fingers extended and the palm facing the observer.

This is the hand gesture that means "explain" or "expose."

It's also known as the vyakhyana (“teaching”) mudra and the sandarshana (“expository”) mudra for this reason.

“She whose head [masta] has been chopped off [chinna],” it says.
